Yannan WANG, Director and President of China Guardian, said “We are very pleased to return to Hong Kong to host our second auction here. There has been a great reception for the auction and we are glad to see the active participation of both existing loyal buyers and new international clients, especially from across Asia. The inaugural Hong Kong Ink Painting Sale and the artists’ talk were very well received and, again, we are very pleased with the success of the sale that indicates the growing interest in Hong Kong ink painting and we are thrilled that we can take part in supporting these excellent contemporary artists. There have been strong sales particularly in the Chinese ink painting and calligraphy. We see this as a positive sign for the long term future of China Guardian in Hong Kong and we look forward to continuing to present a diverse range of Chinese artworks of the highest quality in the city with our next series of sales in the autumn.”
