Recently, the reporter got the news from China Guardian Auctions Co., Ltd. that "Lingering Admiration of Classic Beauty"—Exhibition of Ming-style Furniture from Lu Ming Shi Collection will be held by the company at Jiale Hall of Prince Gong’s Mansion in Beijing (No. 17 of West Qianhai Street, Xicheng District) from 30th, March to 17th, April.
It is reported that 70 pieces of Ming Dynasty styled furniture collected by Philippe De Backer of Belgium will be exhibited during the exhibition, including table, stool, bed, shelf, and stationery etc. The series of furniture has once been exhibited in the Forbidden City, Nanjing Museum, Guimet Museum of Asian Art in Paris, which is renowned all over the world and draws extensive concern. The most exquisite and rare furniture will all be exhibited, including Huanghuali tea table, Huanghuali fore chair, Huanghuali half table, and Huanghuali cabinet with square corner etc. Huanghuali classical furniture in this exhibition will also fully display Ming dynasty furniture style and features in the 16th and 17th centuries.
