China Guardian 2010 Autumn Auction was concluded with a strong hammer on November 23 in Beijing. All categories including Chinese paintings and calligraphy, porcelain, furniture, ancient rare books, Chinese oil paintings and sculptures, jadeite & jewelry, watches, stamps, coins & bronze mirrors, have achieved great success with a total turnover of up to Euro 413.3 million, refreshing the record of single season auction for Chinese art. Wang Xizhi’s "Cursive Handscroll Ping An Tie" was traded at Euro 30.8 million; Chen Gua’s “Chinese Ink Flower" has exceeded Eruo 10 million Yuan (Euro 11.37 million); Li Keran’s giant ink painting "Long March" was sold at Euro 10.752 million Yuan, this is the 2nd time China Guardian broke the auction record of modern and contemporary Chinese ink painting, following Zhang Daqian's "Achensee Lake" in the 2010 spring auction, also creating new high for the painter’s auction price.
