March 29, 2009, the hammer falls and China Guardian completes it’s 17th Quarterly Auction at the Beijing International Hotel. The total auction sales soared at more than RMB 144 million, a record breaking turnover rate.
This included 5 special sections of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, which exceeded the total sale of RMB 106 million, with an average turnover rate of a 88% percent,Huang Miaozi and Yu Feng’s, "The Hui Feng Yi Collection of Painting and Calligraphy," and the feature lot from an overseas collection, " YAMENGXUAN collection of modern paintings,” which had a 100% turnover rate.
Jade, porcelain and works of art, did excellently too, with average turnover of 80%, and total sales of more than RMB 33 million. Ancient books and rubbings from the Huang Miaozi collection also enjoyed a high, 96% turnover rate, and the late Qing Dynasty Photography sold very well.
