On April 12, China Guardian Auctions as exclusive auction partner hosted a special philatelic auction at the Luoyang Museum during the 2009 China World Stamp Exhibition. With the final fall of the hammer, China Guardian reached a total turnover of RMB 6.22 million, and a total turnover rate of more than 85%. Among the star lots, Lot 3859 "M / S T41 A Childhood Love of Science Sheet of 100", still in its original packaging and unopened, thus making it the first of its kind to appear in such great condition to auction, achieved RMB 638,400, taking the metal as the highest grossing single lot.
The success of this lot was closely followed by Lot No. 3760, "The 1953 Yellow Military Postage Stamps, 5 Sheets of 90.”Although there were some folds along the perforations, such a complete set was very rare and thus, it ultimately exceeded its estimate by 2 times, settling a all-time record at RMB 459,200, and becoming the second star lot of the auction.
