The 2014 Spring Stamps and Coins Auctions fell under the hammer on the evening on May 25, 2014, which announced the end of the China Guardian 2014 spring sales, with total gross sales of 2.25 billion yuan.
Over 7,000 pieces of fine collections offered at the sales, including Chinese painting and Calligraphy, porcelain, furniture and works of art, Chinese oil paintings and Sculptures, rare books and manuscript and stamps and coins.
A total RMB 31.8 million was achieved at the Stamps and Coins Auctions from the four sessions, including the Liuyingtang Collection and ancient coins, gold and silver coins, sycees and utensils, banknotes, and stamps and covers.

At the Gold and Silver Coins session, a series of collections sold well, including Roc, Yuan Shikai Portrait Gold Pattern Coi with L.Giorgl Signature (sold for 1,552,500 yuan), Late Qing Dyansty to Roc, A Golden Censer with Dragon and Phoenix Pattern (sold for 782,000 yuan,) Late Qing Dynasty to Roc, A pair of Lion-shaped Dolden Seals (sold for 471,500 yuan), and Qing Dynasty, A Pair of Golden-wire-woven Bracelets Decorated with Gem and Feather (sold for 437,000 yuan).

Over 500 ancient coins brought together by the Liuyingtang Collection and Ancient Coins session were 85 percent sold by lots, of which Wang Mang Period, A Group of Bronze Coins(6), EF realized 437,000 yuan, and Qing Dynasty, Bronze Coin “咸豐重寶" on Obverse and “寶福二十,計重一兩" on Reverse, XF brought in 391,000 yuan.
Ming Dynasty, Daming Tongxing Baochao
At the Banknotes session, Ming Dynasty, Daming Tongxing Baochao attracted much attention and sold for RMB 2.76 million, a new record in ancient Chinese banknote auction. Included in the high price list were Hsing Yeh Bank of Chehkien, 1-yuan, Vf-xf (sold for 437,000 yuan,) Ta-chin Government Bank, Kalgan, 1-, 5-, 10- Dollar, 1906, Ovpt Speciman, Au (sold for 402,500 yuan), and The People’s Bank of China, Second Series of Renminbi(100), 1 yuan, 1953, AU-UNC (sold for 391,000 yuan).

At the Stamps and Covers session, The 1st Peking Print Junk Series Variety, Original Gum, VF-F was sold for 744,500 yuan because of its rarity. And The Red Band Cover Sent From Kulun to Peking, with Chops, Rare, 1905, Well Preserved fetched 345,000 yuan.
