After an exciting three days of auctions, the 41st China Guardian Quarterly Auctions ended perfectly with a total of 168 million yuan in sales on April 3.

Auctions in three categories, Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy; Porcelain, Jade, Works of Art and Rare Books, achieved remarkable results.

The private collection, a conception forged earnestly by China Guardian in recent years, also yielded unusually brilliant results. The three sessions, A Collection of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from Dehuatang - Contemporary and Modern Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, A Collection of Fan Painting and Calligraphy and A Collection of Modern Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from Xinmozhai, all reached 100 percent sales volume with fierce competition during the auction process.

The Classic Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy section was well received by the collectors and built itself an excellent brand effect. Its transaction value remained high as always.

In this section, the new sessions like tea ware and Guan-type porcelain from the late Qing Dynasty were especially preferred by the collectors, which reflect the trend of market segmentation and the development of personalized collections.
