China Guardian moved to new headquarters in the Guardian Art Center on Nov 21, which marks the official opening of the world's first auction-oriented "one-stop" art trading center with auctions, exhibitions, educational programs, a hotel, offices and an art warehouse.

Mr. Chen Dongsheng, founder of China Guardian, said, "What we have done today is unprecedented in the world. Guardian Art Center witnesses our efforts in past 25 years. At the same time, we should also attribute our success to the reform and opening up policy and market economy, so that this center is built in honor of our country, Beijing city, and the auction industry along with our employees."
■ Traditional Lion dance adds radiance to the opening ceremony.
The new headquarters are located at No 1 Wangfujing Street, the junction of Beijing's most famous Wangfujing commercial street and Wusi Dajie, where the New Culture Movement began. Adjacent to the Palace Museum, Beijing People's Art Theatre, National Art Museum of China and Institute of archaeology (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), the center is immersed in a special cultural atmosphere.
To date, the center has successfully held several grand exhibitions with numerous exquisite works of art, including Blue and White and Enameled Porcelains of the 17h Century, Elegant Simplicity - Classical Furniture from Important Collectors and Scholars' Studio Objects from Muxinzhai and The Imperial Bronze Objects and Scholars' Studio Works of Art from Muxinzhai.
Moving to a new site is a new start as well as a continuation. We have been adhering to the principle of integrity and being professional together with respect and love for each painting, porcelain item, furniture piece, book or seal since China Guardian was founded 24 years ago. Conscientiousness and passion has endowed China Guardian with the trust of collectors and their counterparts.
■ Adding the finishing touch to the dancing lions.
In the future, China Guardian will focus on fulfilling our social responsibility of offering more high-quality cultural products and services to the public, enabling more people to know and love art while preserving our splendid culture. At the same time, we will actively cooperate with the Dongcheng District to implement a "pre-eminent cultural zone" strategy to protect the old city and build a new cultural landmark.
Moving to a new address is a highlight of 2017, which is called "the year of China Guardian". We will continue to practice our beliefs and make more contributions to the prosperity of the cultural industry.
The new headquarters is also set up to celebrate the 25th anniversary in next year ahead. After Dec 10, all the departments will then settle into the new headquarters. And next spring, Puxuan Hotel at the Guardian Art Center and adjacent underground station of line 8 will also be completed. On this occasion, we will invite friends from all walks of life to celebrate together!
