China Guardian 2017 Autumn Auctions to kick off Dec 18
2017-12-13

The Guardian Art Center is a new cultural landmark in Beijing, a city endowed with rich cultural resources. From Dec 18 to 23, the center will usher in China Guardian 2017 Autumn Auctions, opening a new chapter in the company's 25-year auction business. The preview exhibition will be staged at the Convention Center of Beijing International Hotel from Dec 15 to 17.

The auctions will cover the categories of Chinese painting and calligraphy; 20th century and contemporary Chinese art; jewelry, watches and luxury goods; porcelain, furniture and works of art; rare books, rubbings and manuscripts; and stamps, coins, silver sycees and banknotes. Many famous collectors provide lots for the auctions and we sincerely welcome collectors to appreciate these masterpieces.

2017 Autumn Auctions is a grand event this year

In 2017, China Guardian has broken the Asian auction records again and established world's first "one-stop" artwork trading center featuring auctions. 2017 Autumn Auctions will be another climax of this year. Director and President Ms. Hu Yanyan said: "Our company has entered a new development stage. Through integrating collectors, academic institutions, artists and art lovers, we can create more opportunities and promote prosperity in the auction market."

In 2018, China Guardian will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Over the past 24 years, the company has adhered to the principles of integrity, professionalism, scientific guidance and excellence in service. China Guardian also aims to inherit traditional Chinese culture and open a channel for ordinary people to admire cultural relics. Both conscientiousness and passion have endowed the company with the trust of collectors and their counterparts.

Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy

The sessions on "Grand View: The Night of Celebration- Classical", "Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Daytime Sale" and "In Pursuit of Epigraphy: Classical Chinese Calligraphy" will present more than 300 lots.

The "Grand View: The Night of Celebration" session gathers more than 30 masterpieces, including Landscape and Calligraphy by Shen Zhou. The work is 10 meters in length and was enshrined by several intellectuals during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Shen took three years to finish this "greatest masterpiece" according to postscripts, and Jin Cheng during the Republic of China created a copy work. Fortunately, both works will be shown at "Grand View: The Night of Celebration- Classical".
